Real Men Charities announced Cartman’s appointment on February 21. Ms. Moyo will become the organization’s associate director.

The 27-year-old Cartman, a Morehouse College graduate, was selected because he has extensive background in revitalizing communities and schools.

Following graduation, Cartman held poetry and theater sessions through After School Matters. He is an organizer with Black Youth Project 100 and he has worked to raise the minimum wage for workers throughout the city.

Real Men Charities is the umbrella organization for Real Men Cook, a charity entering its 28th year. It focuses its efforts on health awareness, including childhood obesity, prostate cancer, diabetes, heart disease, HIV AIDS and other issues. Its signature event, however, is Real Men Cook, which was launched by Yvette Moyo and Kofo Moyo in Chicago in 1990 as a Father’s Day Celebration.

Real Men Charities was incorporated in 2003.

Cartman is committed to revitalizing the state of wellness among black men and to the city’s gun violence by providing young people with other opportunities.

Cartman’s email is ayindecartman@gmail.com. His phone number is 773 484 0624
