Man Who Served 31 Years in Prison Becomes 325th Person Exonerated by DNA Evidence

BlackmansStreet.Today Rickey Dale Wyatt, who served nearly 31 years in prison for a rape he did not commit, has become the 325th person exonerated based on DNA evidence, the Innocence Project reported on Monday. A Dallas County Judge sentenced Wyatt to 99 years for a rape that occurred Nov. 1, 1980. Wyatt maintained his innocence and refused a plea bargain.[Read More…]
