The event will be held indoors air-conditioned comfort because the temperature is expected to reach 92 degrees.
There is a $45 charge for a four-course meal that will be prepared by Executive Chef Edwardo Bey, Chef San Myers and other African-American Chicago chefs.
The sit-down dinner will be a white-tablecloth event. It is an addition to the Real Men Cook celebration at Hales Franciscan High School, 4930 S. Cottage Grove, Chicago.
Why the new location?
Several men expressed interest in enjoying “their day” at a fashionable setting indoors, said Ayinde Cartman, executive director of Real Men Charities, sponsor of Real Men Cook.
Both the indoor and the outdoor dinners will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
