The Obamas: America’s most admired

They no longer occupy the bully pulpit of the White House, but that hasn’t diminished their popularity.

A recent Gallup Poll reported that Barack Obama is the most-admired man for the 11th year in a row, and that former First Lady Michelle Obama has replaced Hillary Clinton as the most-admired woman in 2018.

Clinton had been the most-admired woman for 17 consecutive years. But in the new order, Michelle Obama is first, followed by Oprah Winfrey. Clinton is third.

Among the men, Barack Obama is first followed by Donald Trump, which should rattle him, knowing how much he both despises and envies former President Obama. Former president George W. Bush was third, followed by Pope Francis.

Gallup surveyed 1, 025 adults, 18 years old and older by telephone in all 50 states and the District of Columbia December 3 -12.
